The Tokyo series

Studio Arhoj’s new TOKYO SERIES for Spring/Summer 2017
brings together the simplicity of Nordic design and the vibrancy
of Japanese pop culture.

In 1868 the Emperor Meiji moved to the city of Edo, made it the country’s capital, and gave it a new name. The shoguns and their samurai disappeared and the country opened itself to the West after 300 years of isolation.
Tokyo became a bustling crossroads where cultures collide.

The TOKYO SERIES is an ever-changing collection of hand-cast porcelain pieces featuring glazes that reflect a floating world of neon lights,
vivid history and urban development.
