Full-Time Potter

Do you love working with clay and are you skilled in wheel throwing and jiggering? Then you might be our new potter!

This position will assist in production on a daily basis. You will work independently and with a team and be responsible for maintaining a production of our ceramic products. You must be in good health with strong limbs, as it is a physically demanding job.

Experience in free throwing, trimming and an understanding of working with clay is required. You are not necessarily a trained ceramicist, but have solid experience in working with clay and especially throwing. Experience in being self-employed is a plus.

The job is in-house full-time - 37 hours a week Monday to Friday, on location. Salary is based on qualifications.

Job Description
The daily work mainly focuses on serial production of various designs and includes throwing, trimming and jiggering of items, sanding, operation of various machines, filling and emptying of kilns, packing bisque items for transport, keeping the studio clean, ordering raw materials and clay, helping customers in the studio store, organising and other studio related tasks. etc.

We are looking for the following qualifications:
- Solid experience in throwing and shaping clay - a love for repetitive work!
- Experience with serial production and development of products / items in clay
- The ability to work both alone and in a team
- Strong arms and back
- A positive attitude and good mood and a curiosity for trying new things
- A sharp eye for detail and precision

Workplace: Studio Arhoj, Skindergade 7, Copenhagen
Language: English, but Danish is a plus.
EU work visa is required.
Weekly hours: 37 (full time)

Full-Time Production Assistant for Studio Arhoj

As a studio assistant, you have an important role in the daily production of Studio Arhoj's product range. The tasks consist of both routine tasks and ad hoc tasks that must be solved here and now. The daily work is planned in collaboration with the manager, while a high degree of independent initiative and self-management is expected. This job requires weekend shifts on a fixed schedule.


Tasks include:

  • Filling and emptying kilns
  • Making and preparing glazes
  • Glazing items
  • Organizing and keeping production space clean
  • Putting on transfers to ceramics
  • Packing and unpacking of products and deliveries
  • Other studio work

We are looking for the following qualifications:

  • A love for working with your hands
  • A keen sense of order and cleanliness in the work space
  • The ability to work both alone and in a team
  • Well-organized
  • Enjoying repetitive work
  • A positive attitude and good mood
  • A curiosity for trying new things
  • A sharp eye for detail and precision
  • Must be fluent in English. Danish skills are a plus.

The job is full-time - 37 hours a week. Studio work hours are from 9.00-17.00 Saturday - Thursday and Friday 9-14. This job requires weekend shifts on a fixed schedule.

An EU work visa is required.
