Shipping

We happily ship our products to every corner of the globe directly from our studio in downtown Copenhagen, Denmark. While we understand that shipping costs can seem high, we hope the speedy and safe delivery of your items is worth the price!

Under normal circumstances orders are packed and shipped out of our Copenhagen studio within 2-3 business days (pickups are ready in the same or next day). You will receive an order confirmation once your order is placed and a shipping notification when your order has shipped (or is ready for pickup). There are estimated shipping times (starting after the items have left the studio) for each zone below.

Orders may take longer to pack and ship during high traffic times like holidays and promotional periods (and pandemics). The time between send-off and delivery also varies depending on the address you're having the package sent to. We appreciate and thank you in advance for your patience.

Danish orders ship with GLS, everywhere else ships with UPS.

Shipping Prices

The prices below cover regular shipping costs. They do not cover the cost of importing goods into your home country. Import fees, taxes, duties and additional handling fees may be charged to customers outside of the EU*. It is your responsibility as a consumer to know the rules and fees put in place by your local government. We are not responsible for these extra charges.

* UK Customers: Tax is included in the listed price when the order value is under £135. Tax is not included on any orders with a value of £135 and higher. Orders with a value of £135 and higher will be taxed on top of the listed price when the package reaches the UK.

Our agreement with UPS does not involve flat rate shipping for some regions, but we do have reduced prices by KG. The prices will be reflected during checkout based on what you have in order. Please see below for more information.

A note on 'free' shipping: Due to the skyrocketing costs of production materials, electricity, packing materials, heating, electricity, etc. we have decided to put a pause on free delivery. Our only other option was to raise the prices of our items and we will do everything we can to prevent that from happening. We hope to offer free shipping again in the future, but just at the moment we simply can't afford it. We're still a small and independent company navigating some crazy times. Thanks for understanding.

If you are ordering from Denmark / using a Danish address at checkout the pickup option should present itself at checkout.

Should there be a major difference in any shipping price charged and the actual cost, the remaining amount will be refunded to your payment method.

Returns

If you are, for any reason, unsatisfied with your purchase you have the right to return the goods within 14 days of delivery at your own expense. We do not cover the cost of returning goods.

If the returning product has been used a concrete evaluation of the actual value and whether it can be resold to another buyer must be processed. A potential devaluation of price may be returned to the buyer. No goods that are returned broken or damaged are accepted - please pack carefully. Nothing should be able to move or touch within the box.

When sending an item back please enclose a note with your order number (which can be found on your order confirmation), your email address and whether you would like a refund or arhoj.com credit. Refunds can only be issued to the original method of payment.

Please mark the box and any shipping forms as "Returning Goods / Return."

If a return is sent from outside of the EU and an import fee/tax is charged the amount may be withdrawn from your refund amount (see "customers outside the EU" above).

Please note, returning goods is done at your own risk. Items returned damaged / unsellable will not be issued credit or an exchange.

Packages marked "Undeliverable" / "Address Not Found" / "Return to Sender" etc.

Packages that are returned to the studio by either UPS or GLS will automatically be refunded. If a return fee and/or tax is charged to us by UPS or GLS that amount may also be removed from the refunded amount.

TIP: If you are sending a gift, please be sure the recipient is aware that a package is on the way.

Exchanges

If you are, for any reason, unsatisfied with your arhoj.com purchase you have the right to an exchange within a reasonable period of time.

To begin the process please follow the return procedure below (under 'Returns') and reach out to us at hello@arhoj.com to arrange the exchange. Please have the order number number handy (even if the items were a gift).

Customers inside the EU: When your returning box is received we can either issue arhoj.com credit or send the items out in an even exchange. While we do not cover the cost of the items returning to us, we will cover the cost of the items being sent back out.*

Customers outside of the EU: When your returning box is received we will issue you an arhoj.com credit. We do not cover the cost of the returning goods or the shipment of new goods going back out. If the Danish import tax / customs fee is applied to the returning goods (usually 25% of the declared value + 160 DKK), that amount may be removed from the credited amount.*

Of course, we understand that mistakes happen, life happens and, well, kids and cats happen.

If anything should come between your Studio Arhoj item and a long lifespan, please don't hesitate to get in touch.

While we don't offer repairs ourselves, we may have suggestions on how to best fix an item. We may also be able to offer something to ease the pain.

Throw Blankets
Made in: USA
Material: 95% new/recycled cotton mix, nylon in trim
Care: Hand or machine wash (separately) in cold water on a gentle cycle using a mild detergent. Hang to dry or use cool cycle. Wrinkles can be steamed. Do not pull loose threads, cut with scissors.

Arhoj Tote Bags
Made in: UK
Material: 100% cotton, screen printed
Care: Hand or machine wash in cold water. Wash separately as color may run. Air dry, do not iron as screen print can melt.

Arhoj Pennants
Made in: USA
Material: blended wool felt
Care: Do not wash. Spot clean only by blotting with a towel, cold water and mild detergent (only if necessary). Do not iron. Fold marks and creases can be removed with gentle steaming. Suggested for indoor use only.

Twisty Rugs
Made in: Portugal
Material: 80% cotton, 20% jute and nylon
Care: Spot clean by blotting with a towel, cold water and a mild detergent (if necessary). Hand or machine wash (separately) in cold water on a gentle cycle with a mild detergent. Hang to dry. Do not iron. Do not vacuum as threads may become loose. Do not pull loose threads, cut with scissors.
